About the Fort Worth Baroque Society

The Fort Worth Baroque Society is a choral ensemble that performs music of the Baroque period. For the audience, the society strives to give a listening experience similar to what audiences of the period heard and to perform the music with the true intentions of the composer. For the singers, the society provides an educational experience in the disciplines of performing music of the baroque period.  Click here for a detailed description of the Baroque Period.

The Fort Worth Baroque Society was established in 2008 in order to perform the entire Handel's Messiah each year with an orchestra consistent with a Baroque Ensemble.

Our vision is to be a group of singers based in the Fort Worth, TX area who will adhere to a high level of excellence in performing choral music with professional instrumentalists.  The ensemble will focus primarily on music from the Baroque era, but may also perform works from other musical periods.

Our Mission is to be committed to upholding the standards of artistic excellence, dedication, and musical integrity necessary to achieve a high level of professionalism in choral music.
